CAREERS
For Youth, By Youth
OUR STORY
Established in 2003 as a justice committee, the Youth Restorative Action Project (YRAP) has achieved remarkable success through the support of young volunteers in the Edmonton community. YRAP is dedicated to collaborating with youth who have perpetrated harm, often influenced by complex social challenges like intolerance, racism, substance abuse, homelessness, family violence, and prostitution.
Our mission extends to providing these individuals with avenues for accountability and personal growth, while ensuring that victims are empowered with a meaningful role in the reconciliation process.
CHANGE THE NARRATIVE
WHY WORK AT YRAP?
Working in a non-profit organization dedicated to mitigating the impact of criminal activity offers a unique opportunity to enact tangible change in communities.
By joining YRAP, individuals can directly contribute to efforts aimed at fostering rehabilitation, support, and justice for those affected by crime. Every day presents a chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of survivors, offenders, and their families, while also advocating for systemic improvements within the criminal justice system.
Through collaboration, empathy, and a commitment to social justice, working in this field allows individuals to be agents of positive transformation, bringing hope and healing to those who need it most.
