ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The YRAP Youth Summer Internship Program is a six-week unpaid program providing high school students with hands-on experience in youth leadership, advocacy, and community engagement. This program runs from July 6, 2026 to August 14, 2026. Participants will collaborate select committees in our organization to design and implement projects aligning with YRAP's mission of restorative justice and youth empowerment.
This program is designed for youth who:

Want to build leadership, communication, and teamwork skills

Are passionate about creating positive change in their community

Are interested in gaining hands-on experience in advocacy and youth engagement

Are ready to learn, collaborate, and grow in a supportive environment
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To be eligible for this program, you must:

Be between 15 and 18 years of age, at the start and end of the program

Reside in the Edmonton Metropolitan Area.

Be enrolled in a public or Catholic High School in the Edmonton Metropolitan Area, at the start and end of the program

Not currently participating in YRAP programming (ie, extrajudicial sanctions program, mentorship, community support programs, etc.)
No prior experience is required to be eligible or successful in this program. We welcome applicants with diverse lived experiences, perspectives, and skills, and encourage anyone interested to reach out with questions about whether the program may be a good fit.
