Volunteer Opportunities

Panel Member

YRAP’s panel members are directly involved in facilitating restorative justice in the community by participating in panels. Panels happen as files are received, and sign-up opportunities are sent through email. Panel members go through a 3 hour training provided by YRAP.

Fundraiser Committee Member

YRAP’s fundraising committee meets monthly and plans fundraising events and initiatives. There is a lot of room for creativity and facilitation.

Drop-In Volunteer

YRAP’s Drop-In for Youth is a program that runs every week. We alternate between an activity Drop-In chosen ahead of time by the youth at previous drop ins, and an art drop in run by our Arts Coordinator. As a volunteer, you would  help facilitate the activity, interact with the youth, and have a good time! 

Board Member

These volunteers oversee YRAP's best interest to ensure the organization is meeting its obligations and standards of practice. They are involved in many processes like hiring processes, ensuring staff well-being, creating new direction and maintaining our structure. 

Communications Committee

Volunteers manage YRAP's social media profiles, our website, and promotional and outreach materials. They meet bi-weekly to brainstorm, create and distribute information to the public, staff, and volunteers. Marketing experience is an asset but is not necessary.
